Tupo Sawa Organization, in collaboration with AMO Foundation, conducted a community awareness and education initiative focused on promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the transition to clean cooking energy. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of access to clean and safe cooking energy as a means of protecting health, improving living conditions, and strengthening economic opportunities.
During the event, particular emphasis was placed on ensuring that women and persons with disabilities have equal access to information, education, and opportunities to benefit from clean cooking solutions. Community members were also encouraged to recognize the health benefits of clean cooking energy, particularly in reducing exposure to harmful smoke from firewood and charcoal, while improving household well-being and creating opportunities for economic activities.
Through this initiative, Tupo Sawa Organization reaffirmed the importance of disability inclusion in development programmes and advocated for the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in accessing services, technologies, and opportunities that improve their quality of life.
This initiative reflects the continued commitment of Tupo Sawa Organization to building an inclusive society that promotes better health, equal opportunities, and economic empowerment for all.
